Hideup Coikes have been hard to find all spring after they have won tournament after tournament. The most popular models remain out of stock for now, but there is good news… A fresh shipment of brand-new-to-the-US models in the Coike lineup has just arrived! The new Coike models for 2026 are:
- Hideup Kyu Coike
- Same as the “standard” model Coikes but smaller (9mm inner diameter)
- Comes in a 3-pack
- Hideup Coike Fish M
- Same fish-shaped appendages as the Coike Fish L but smaller
- M = 17mm inner diameter (L = 23mm inner diameter, like the Fullcast)
- Hideup Coike Straight
- Long, straight version of a Coike
- Opens up the possibility for new rigging methods
The Kyu Coike is the same “urchin” style design as the standard model Coikes like the 13mm and 17mm, only smaller. The Kyu Coike has a 9mm inner ball diameter. This makes it a great option for pressured fish, smallmouth, smaller fish, or if you just want to get more bites with a less intimidating option. Not only are these less intimidating to fish, but they are the most affordable Coike option yet, as they come in a 3-pack instead of the usual single pack!
The Coike Fish M has the same fish-shaped appendages as the Coike Fish L, it’s just smaller. The Coike Fish M is to the Coike 17mm as the Coike Fish L is to the Fullcast (23mm). Same inner ball diameter as the 17mm, but with small minnows for appendages instead of the “regular” urchin-style appendages.
The Coike Straight is just what the name implies: a straight version of a Coike. This shape opens up the possibility for new Coike rigging methods! We have a full blog on how to rig dice-style baits, but you can safely ignore that for the straight version. Traditional worm rigging methods will work with this bait, such as an EWG worm hook on a Texas rig, Carolina rig, free rig, etc. Another really cool option for this one would be a Neko rig.
