Use A Fluorocarbon Leader To Catch More Fish

When it comes to braid-to-leader combinations, there are many different options out there of what to use. It can often be overwhelming for an angler when looking at all the different options of braid and fluorocarbon, and it can sometimes be difficult to know which ones to choose when you don’t know the differences between one versus another. This is why we design leader-specific lines at Sunline to meet the anglers’ needs when looking for that perfect line that performs well when tied to braid. Leader-specific materials are very unique as they have certain characteristics more than other fluorocarbon lines do such as superior abrasion resistance, sensitivity, and strength required for those heavy hooksets and hard-fighting fish. There are many different techniques that a braid-to-leader combination can be used, and there are many benefits of using braid-to-leader. Check out the full blog here.
Designed to be the perfect flipping and pitching bait, the Black Label Cliff Pace Bug features a unique two-sided construction with a ribbed underside to help displace more water and a slick top-side with added lines to make it easier to rig perfectly in the center of the bait. Supplying a fluid and lifelike-fluttering action as it travels through the water column, the Cliff Pace Bug is equipped with tapered front and side appendages that invoke a natural movement even when worked at a slower rate of speed. The beefy plastic body provides extra mass and makes it easier to cast with flipping and pitching techniques, the Cliff Pace Bug even excels as a jig or buzzbait trailer and can be rigged with the slick top side down for easy skipping under docks and shaded pockets. Scented with the sweet ‘bass candy’ aroma, the Black Label Cliff Pace Bug has all the traits and attributes needed for flipping, pitching, and skipping around heavy cover to produce big bites from big bass. Check out the full selection here.

Shoreline Tech Tip: Clean Your Boat!

As the busiest time of the tournament season winds down, your boat is probably in need of some serious TLC. Here are some tips from Shoreline Boat & RV Repair to keep your vessel looking great.

Outside:

  • Give your boat a wipe-down with Hot SauceBass Boat Saver, or similar.
  • Hard water spots? Mix vinegar & water 1:1, apply with a cloth or sponge, and watch the water spots disappear!

Seats:

  • DIY Solutions:
  • Option 1: Mix a few drops of mild soap (like Dawn) and warm water in a container.
  • Option 2: Mix white vinegar and water with a 50/50 ratio in a spray bottle.
  • Specialized Cleaners:
  • Our techs recommend Vinyl Sauce, which works great for all types of boat seats.

Carpet:

  • Get 4 cans of Barbasol shaving cream, apply it to the carpet, then use a brush to scrub it in. After that, power wash. This process fluffs up the carpet and make the boat smell great, too!
